A consortium of agencies, donors, NGOs and foundations involved in programming, research, policy advocacy, monitoring and evaluation for young children (0-8) at risk in the developing world.

Early Care and Education

ABCD Head Start -Provides a comprehensive, holistic, family intervention programs to low-income, pre-school children and their families in Boston.

Associated Early Care and Education - Our mission is to lead through experience, as educators and advocates, in urban early education of children from birth, in partnership with their families and communities.

Boston EQUIP-Associated Early Care & Education launched the Boston Early Education Quality Improvement Project (Boston EQUIP) in 1994 with a broad goal and mission-to collaborate with members of the Boston early education community to systematicaly evaluate, set goals for, and improve upon the quality of early childhood programs.

A 2005 look at supply, and demand, and quality of early care & education in Boston.

Each of Boston’s neighborhoods have a distinct constellation of children, families, and early care and education suppliers. Being able to see how each neighborhood looks individually, and how it fits into the city as a whole, allows for the generation of more accurate analysis and planning of resources. This section provides data analyzed at the neighborhood level according to the neighborhood boundaries used by the Boston Community Partnerships for Children, and the Boston Public Health Commission.

Child Development and Education, Inc. - "Institute for Education and Professional Development", which is a division of Child Developement and Education, Inc., offers a wide array of training opportunities with an emphasis on courses to improve early education program quality. Our "Child Development Associate" courses to improve early education and program quality. Our Child Development Associate courses ensures successful completion within nine months so that providers can quickly and effectively attain their early ed credential. First Aid/CPR classes are available year round in English and Spanish. Behavioral Health and Child Guidance curricula form the basis for highly effective classes in these areas.

Project Hope-Project Hope is a multi-service agency at the forefront of efforts in Boston to move families beyond homelessness and poverty.  It provides low-income women with children with access to education, jobs, housing, and emergency services; fosters their personal transformation; and works for broader systems change.
